Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
